ORIENTATION OF SAEP VOCATIONAL SKILLS TRAINING COURSES IN CARRIACOU WITH TAMCC
On Tuesday September 22nd 2020 the TA Marry show Community College School of Continuing Education (TAMCC SCE), in collaboration with the Climate Smart Agriculture and Rural Enterprise Programme (SAEP) conducted an Orientation Session in Carriacou for the commencement of two skills training courses for youths namely, General Agriculture and Wall and Floor Tiling. A total of 46 participants (25 males and 21 females) attended the Sea wave Conference Room in Hillsborough, Carriacou for the session.
Mr. Aden Forteau, Technical Coordinator of the SAEP Programme expressed his happiness in reaching this stage of implementation in providing skilled training to youths in the sister isle which can assist them to become self-employed and provide financially for their households.
Ms. Marsha Davis, School for Continuing Education Coordinator at TAMCC in Carriacou Six Roads Campus outlined the structure of the programs and explained that the course work will be delivered using a blended learning approach taking into consideration the COVID 19 Protocols.
SAEP is please to reach this stage of implementation in providing the youths of the sister isle the opportunity to receive a Level 2 National Vocational Qualifications (NVQ) which can lead to a greater livelihood.
